Tips on Jewelcrafting.

Here are some tips for those of you planning on taking Jewelcrafting:
Stockpile about 150 Copper and 150 Bronze (225 Copper and 75 Tin) in bars. You can prospect, but its really not worth the mats. It costs 5 ore to prospect for 1 gem, and often you need the metal and the gem. If you can get about 10 of each gem, you should be good to go. Silver is an absolute must. It makes things so much easier. Expect to use about 40 Silver Bars.

Last tip: If you have one character a miner, and your jewelcrafting character already has enchanting, keep enchanting. You can get a lot of low level enchanting mats to sell on the AH from Jewelcrafting.

I will publish more tips as I level my jewelcrafting (I’m at about 110 now).
